St. Mary's County Board of License Commissioners may issue up to three Class B beer, wine, and liquor restaurant licenses to a single individual or entity for separate premises

Only one of the three allowed licenses may authorize off-premises alcohol sales

No person may hold a direct or indirect interest in more than three Class B restaurant licenses, and only one license with off-premises sales privileges

Indirect interest is presumed to exist when parties share a common parent company, franchise agreement, licensing agreement, concession agreement, directors/stockholders, profit-sharing from alcohol sales, or common trade name/trademark/logo

Effective July 1, 2025
