Department of Juvenile Services must notify local school superintendents and principals when a student in DJS custody is arrested for a reportable offense or criminal organization-related offense, and must report the disposition of resulting charges

DJS must provide schools with information about any educational programming and related services the student received while in custody

Information shared under these new provisions is confidential, cannot be subpoenaed without court order, and cannot become part of the student's permanent educational record

Schools may transmit this confidential information to other schools if the student transfers and the case resulted in conviction, adjudication of delinquency, or charges are still pending
