Sports venue owners/operators and higher education institutions must allow attendees at professional and collegiate sporting events to bring and use reusable beverage containers

Reusable beverage containers must be made primarily of aluminum or stainless steel, hold up to 24 ounces, and be designed for multiple uses

Venues may require containers to be empty upon entry

Stated legislative intent is to reduce plastic waste and improve public health by expanding water consumption options

Effective date: October 1, 2025
