Maryland Department of Health and State Department of Education must jointly conduct an annual assessment of the school health and wellness personnel workforce, including school nurses, counselors, psychologists, social workers, therapists, and dental hygienists

Assessment must identify personnel-to-student ratios by jurisdiction, collect vacancy rate data from local school systems and health departments, and gather stakeholder feedback on recruitment and retention strategies

Annual report on assessment findings due to the General Assembly by December 1, 2027, and each December 1 thereafter, with publication on both agencies' websites

Maryland Council on Advancement of School-Based Health Centers membership increases from 15 to 16 voting members, adding one school nurse nominated by the Maryland Association of School Health Nurses
