Increases the required classroom teaching time for teachers on levels one, two, or three of Maryland's educator career ladder from 60% to 80% of their working time

Applies to State certified teachers (level one), teachers pursuing master's degrees or National Board Certification (level two), and NBC teachers or assistant principals (level three)

Teachers must spend remaining non-classroom time on activities including improving instruction, tutoring students needing help, working with challenging students, working with students in concentrated poverty, and professional learning

Effective date: July 1, 2025
