Expands Maryland's existing sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention program to include education on human and sex trafficking for students in grades 6 through 8

Applies to both public schools (through the State Board of Education) and nonpublic schools that hold State Board approval and participate in the Nonpublic Schools Textbook and Technology Grants Program

Requires the trafficking awareness material to be incorporated into the health curriculum and taught by teachers trained in sexual abuse and assault prevention instruction

Directs the State Board of Education to adopt regulations implementing these requirements

Takes effect July 1, 2025
