Removes limitations on which prospective employees or volunteers of Carroll County may be subject to criminal history records checks requested by the Department of Human Resources

Previously, background checks were restricted to positions involving inspections, permit/license approvals, work in County Commissioners/sheriff/State's Attorney/circuit court/county attorney offices, handling money, or supervising minors

Allows Carroll County to request State and national criminal history records checks from the Central Repository for any prospective employee or volunteer

Effective October 1, 2025
