Department of Natural Resources must conduct sampling at a minimum of 2 additional sites in the central region of Maryland's Chesapeake Bay waters, using methods equivalent to the young-of-the-year juvenile index survey for striped bass/rockfish

Central region sampling sites must be located in waters including the Magothy River, Severn River, Chester River, South River, West River, Eastern Bay, Miles River, Patapsco River, Rhode River, or Tred Avon River

DNR must annually examine survey data to ensure striped bass distribution has not shifted from established young-of-the-year survey sites

Annual reporting of survey findings required by December 31 to the Sport Fisheries Advisory Commission, Tidal Fisheries Advisory Commission, and relevant legislative committees

Expanded sampling provisions take effect June 1, 2025 and automatically expire June 30, 2027; permanent general monitoring requirements take effect July 1, 2027
