Maryland General Assembly affirms its commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as a foundation for achieving the American Dream and fostering environments where all individuals can realize their full potential

Encourages local, state, and federal policymakers, educational institutions, workplaces, and other organizations to adopt DEI principles that promote inclusivity, protect freedom of expression, and remove barriers to opportunity

Declares that DEI policies—including the 19th Amendment, Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Americans with Disabilities Act—reflect corrective actions to expand educational, economic, and civic access throughout U.S. history

States that efforts to prohibit DEI infringe on free expression rights, diminish diversity of perspectives, conflict with antidiscrimination laws, and harm the economy

Directs certified copies of the resolution be sent to President Trump, Vice President Vance, congressional leaders, Governor Moore, and Maryland legislative leadership
