Public service companies must notify the municipal corporation and members of the General Assembly and local elected officials before terminating electric or gas service for nonpayment to multifamily dwelling units where the account is held by the property owner or manager

Property owners or managers may require tenants to consent to third-party termination notices as a term of their lease

Customer consent for third-party notification can be provided directly by the customer or in writing by the property owner or manager

Public service companies must establish procedures for handling the third-party notification process suited to their circumstances
