Adds "law enforcement officer" as a protected category under Maryland's hate crime statutes, alongside existing categories including race, color, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability, national origin, and homeless status

Prohibits crimes, property damage, threats, and false reports motivated in whole or substantial part by the victim's status as a law enforcement officer

Extends hate crime protections to buildings associated with law enforcement officers, including damage, defacement, or burning of property connected to such buildings

Defines "law enforcement officer" by reference to § 3-201 of the Criminal Law Article

Takes effect October 1, 2025
