Maryland Commission on Health Equity must establish a Health Equity Measures Advisory Committee to identify the 10 widest health care disparities affecting vulnerable populations and review hospital equity reports

All licensed hospitals in Maryland must submit annual health equity reports to the Department of Health and the advisory committee by October 1 each year, beginning in 2025

Health equity reports must analyze disparities in health status and access to care disaggregated by age, sex, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and geographic location

Reports must include a health equity strategy with measurable objectives addressing person-centered care, patient safety, social determinants of health, effective treatment, care coordination, and access to care

Hospitals must publish reports on their websites, and the Department must publish all reports on its website; the act takes effect July 1, 2025
