Electric bicycles would be required to obtain a certificate of title ($20 fee) and registration ($30 annual fee) through the Motor Vehicle Administration, with applications submitted electronically

Registration expires every 2 years and requires a permanent decal with a unique number ($5 fee) to be displayed on the bicycle as prescribed by the Administration

Owners must maintain vehicle liability insurance and carry proof of coverage while operating; if the owner is a minor, a parent or guardian must apply for registration

Insurers may exclude economic loss benefits from electric bicycle policies or offer coverage with deductibles, options, or specific exclusions
