Veterans who are unemployable due to a service-connected disability would be exempt from vehicle registration fees for not more than one vehicle they own, lease, and personally use

Adds this new exemption to existing Maryland law that already exempts vehicles owned by veterans who have lost use of a limb, are totally disabled, or have permanent vision impairment

Surviving spouses of deceased disabled veterans and religious organizations operating school vehicles also remain exempt under existing provisions

Effective date: October 1, 2025
