Expands the definition of "uniformed services" throughout Maryland law to include the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and NOAA Commissioned Officer Corps, extending benefits and protections previously limited to armed forces members

Standardizes definitions across multiple articles of Maryland code by aligning terms like "veteran," "service member," "active duty," and "reserve component" with federal definitions in 37 U.S.C. § 101 and 38 U.S.C. § 101

Updates provisions in correctional services, courts, criminal law, family law, public safety, and real property statutes to apply uniformly to all uniformed services rather than only traditional military branches

Allows service members and their spouses to terminate contracts for telecommunications, internet, television, gym memberships, and satellite radio when receiving orders to relocate for 90+ days of military service

Takes effect October 1, 2025, and was approved by Governor Wes Moore on May 6, 2025
