Creates a new felony offense for committing arson (malicious or fraudulent burning under §6-104, §6-105, or §6-106) that results in the death or serious physical injury of a firefighter

Maximum penalty is imprisonment not exceeding 10 years

Sentences may be imposed consecutively or concurrently with sentences for the underlying arson offense

Effective October 1, 2025
