First conviction for firearm theft carries up to 5 years imprisonment and/or a fine up to $1,000

Second or subsequent conviction carries up to 10 years imprisonment and/or a fine up to $2,500

Sentences for firearm theft must be served separately from and consecutively to any sentence for other offenses arising from the same incident
