Prohibits using fraud, including synthetic media (deepfakes), to influence or attempt to influence a voter's voting decision

Defines "synthetic media" as AI-generated or digitally manipulated images, audio, or video recordings that falsely depict a real candidate's speech or conduct, or create a fundamentally different impression than the original content

Adds "fraud" to existing prohibited methods of voter influence alongside force, threat, menace, intimidation, bribery, and rewards

Violations constitute a misdemeanor punishable by up to $5,000 fine, up to 5 years imprisonment, or both

Takes effect June 1, 2025
