Prohibits the Department of Juvenile Services from knowingly hiring or retaining individuals convicted of serious violent and sexual crimes, including murder, manslaughter (except involuntary), rape, kidnapping, abduction, and first-degree assault

Bars employment for those convicted of sexual offenses including first or second degree sexual offense, child abuse in the first degree, sexual abuse of a minor, and continuing course of conduct with a child

Includes convictions for assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to rape, and assault with intent to commit sexual offense in the first or second degree

Allows an exception if the judgment of conviction was reversed or vacated by a court

Takes effect October 1, 2025
