Expands eligibility for Maryland Dent-Care Program loan assistance grants to include part-time dentists and dental hygienists, previously limited to full-time employees only

Requires the Office of Student Financial Assistance, in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Health, to establish prorated grant amounts for part-time participants

Grant recipients must treat at least 30% Maryland Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) patients for 3 years and hold a Maryland dental license

Current grant amounts are at least $50,000 per year for 3 years for dentists and up to $10,000 per year for 2 years for dental hygienists

Effective July 1, 2025; approved by Governor Wes Moore on May 6, 2025
