Increases Maryland State Board of Education membership from 13 to 14 regular members by adding one early childhood development professional position

Requires the early childhood development member to have extensive experience in child care business operations and early childhood curriculum and development, as determined by the Office of Child Care Advisory Council

Governor appoints the early childhood development member with Senate consent from a list of three qualified candidates submitted by the Office of Child Care Advisory Council

Department of Education must notify all licensed child care providers in the state of vacancies for this position

Early childhood development member may attend and participate in executive sessions of the State Board, effective July 1, 2025
