Nursing homes and assisted living programs must install, operate, and maintain continuous video surveillance in common areas (dining areas, meeting rooms, hallways, entrances, activity rooms, living rooms) to detect abuse, neglect, or exploitation of residents

Video surveillance is prohibited in private spaces including bedrooms, bathrooms, areas where residents receive medical care, and places where residents meet privately with visitors

Facilities must store recorded video for 120 days in a common and accessible format

Recorded video must be made available to law enforcement and State personnel upon request for official duties
