Requires health insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and HMOs in Maryland to cover genetic testing for individuals with personal or family history of cancer to identify inherited mutations associated with increased cancer risk, when recommended by a health care professional and consistent with evidence-based clinical practice guidelines

Mandates coverage for follow-up evidence-based cancer imaging for individuals determined to be at increased cancer risk through genetic testing, using modalities established in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology

Prohibits insurers from imposing copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles on genetic testing and follow-up cancer imaging covered under this section

Includes an exception for Health Savings Account-qualified high deductible health plans, allowing cost-sharing requirements to apply until the beneficiary satisfies the minimum deductible under federal law (26 U.S.C. § 223), unless the services qualify as preventive care

Takes effect January 1, 2026, applying to all policies, contracts, and health benefit plans issued, delivered, or renewed in Maryland on or after that date
