Prince George's County may establish a pilot program allowing members of the public to submit video evidence of illegal dumping and litter violations to enforcement units

Individuals who submit video evidence that leads to a conviction receive half of the fines collected from that violation

Unpaid fines may be referred to the Central Collection Unit of the Department of Budget and Management for collection

Fines collected in Prince George's County must be used for pilot program maintenance, litter receptacles and signs, litter removal programs, and rewards to evidence submitters

The pilot program takes effect October 1, 2025 and automatically expires on September 30, 2030 (5-year duration)
