Health care providers must issue two separate prescriptions for each drug prescribed to a child when a parent presents a court-ordered or court-approved shared custody or visitation schedule

Each prescription must be written for a drug amount proportionate to the time each parent spends with the child according to the custody/visitation schedule

Pharmacists and other providers authorized to dispense prescription drugs must fill these prescriptions when presented with the court documentation

Dispensing providers may only fill the prescription for the amount corresponding to that specific parent's time with the child
