Establishes a Task Force on Education Funding and Student Population Growth consisting of 11 members appointed by the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, and Governor

Task Force membership includes representatives from the State Department of Education, Maryland Association of Boards of Education, Maryland State Education Association, Maryland Free State PTA, Maryland Association of Counties, school personnel administrators, superintendents, the Comptroller's Office, and one member of the general public

Task Force must analyze challenges related to delays in student enrollment counts and their effect on school funding, examine the connection between growing student populations and funding provision, and recommend improvements

Report with findings and recommendations due to the Governor and General Assembly by December 15, 2025

Act takes effect July 1, 2025 and automatically sunsets on June 30, 2026
