Juvenile courts must place children not in secure confinement on probation if they committed a crime of violence, used a firearm in committing a crime, or are habitually truant

Probation for these cases must include a treatment service plan and require participation by both the child and their parent, guardian, or custodian in rehabilitative services

Courts must order parents, guardians, or custodians to participate in treatment service plans and meet with juvenile counselors if they initially refuse or fail to participate

Treatment service plans must be implemented within 25 days of disposition, with the Department of Juvenile Services certifying implementation status to the court
