First-time oyster fishery violations result in suspension of up to 5 years instead of permanent revocation; second or subsequent violations result in revocation

Violations include taking oysters more than 200 feet within closed areas, using prohibited gear more than 200 feet within prohibited areas, harvesting outside time restrictions by more than 1 hour, harvesting during closed seasons, or taking oysters from leased areas without authorization

Persons whose oyster authorizations were revoked before July 1, 2025 may apply for a new authorization and have their entitlement to work in the oyster fishery reinstated beginning 5 years after the revocation date

Removes the requirement that administrative hearings be held within 90 days of the offense
