Authorizes the Dorchester County Board of License Commissioners to issue alcoholic beverages licenses to establishments within 300 feet of a place of worship or school if written consent is obtained from each affected institution

Current law prohibits new alcohol licenses for establishments within 300 feet of churches, public schools, or private K-12 schools, measured in a direct line to the main building

Existing exceptions to the 300-foot rule include premises licensed before October 1, 1996, Class B beer/wine/liquor licenses in Cambridge, Secretary, or Hurlock, and temporary licenses

Effective date: July 1, 2025
