Increases the maximum criminal fine for misdemeanor violations of municipal ordinances and resolutions from $1,000 to $5,000; the maximum imprisonment penalty of 6 months remains unchanged.

Raises the maximum fine for municipal infractions (civil offenses) from $1,000 to $5,000 per infraction.

Municipal infractions cover violations of zoning/land use ordinances and littering prohibitions.

Fines for municipal infractions must be paid within 20 calendar days of receiving the citation.

Effective October 1, 2025.
