Requires self-service storage facility operators to notify occupants at least 10 days before conducting a lien sale of their property, providing the time, place, and terms of the sale by hand delivery, verified mail, or electronic mail.

If electronic mail notice of the sale does not receive a response or delivery confirmation at least 5 days before the sale, the operator must promptly send a second notice by verified mail.

Clarifies that when default notices sent by electronic mail receive no response or confirmation of delivery, operators must follow up with verified mail to the occupant's last known postal address.

Electronic mail notification is only permitted if the rental agreement specifies this in bold type and the occupant provides initials consenting to electronic notice.

Effective July 1, 2025.
