County boards of education must annually publish on their websites and report to the General Assembly the number of public school main entrances that are not accessible for individuals with disabilities and not ADA-compliant, beginning September 1, 2025

Local school systems must submit copies of their emergency plans to the State Department of Education by September 1, 2025, and annually thereafter

The Department of Education must analyze submitted emergency plans and report to the General Assembly by December 1, 2025, and annually thereafter, on whether each local school system complies with state emergency planning guidelines for individuals with disabilities

Students with IEPs or 504 plans who require specific evacuation accommodations must have those accommodations addressed in their respective plans

Effective date: July 1, 2025
