Owners of fleets with 5 or more rental vehicles may use an alternative registration process under new Section 13-424 of the Transportation Article

Motor Vehicle Administration must issue distinctive "Fleet Vehicle" registration plates for rental vehicles registered under this process

Validation tabs are not required to be attached, displayed, or issued for rental vehicles registered under this section

Registration for all rental vehicles in the same fleet shall expire on the same date to the extent practicable

One-time initial registration fee not exceeding $8.50 applies when new fleet registration plates are issued, in addition to the standard annual registration fee determined under § 13-939.1
