County boards of education must develop policies in consultation with parents, teachers, and school personnel to promote parental involvement, including plans for increasing school participation and improving cooperation on homework, attendance, and discipline

Parents gain rights to review all curricula, instructional materials, and teacher training materials via public website or written copies; to be informed about all school clubs and extracurricular activities; and to withdraw students from any club, activity, instruction unit, or assembly

Schools must provide at least 5 days advance notice and obtain parental consent for family life and human sexuality instruction, and must obtain parental consent before a student uses gender pronouns that differ from their biological sex

Teachers and school personnel are prohibited from withholding information from parents about students' projects, assignments, activities, or physical, emotional, or mental health

Parents may file complaints with the county superintendent (14-day response required), appeal to a county board committee (30-day review), and ultimately bring court action for continuing violations after exhausting administrative remedies
