Authorizes construction, permitting, and operation of natural gas generating facilities in Maryland until the state meets 50% of its energy needs from renewable energy resources, including nuclear energy

Requires natural gas facility developers to obtain either a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity under § 7-207 or Commission approval under § 7-207.1

Mandates the Maryland Energy Administration to work with natural gas facility owners and operators to decrease natural gas energy production at the same rate that renewable energy production increases, once the 50% renewable threshold is reached

Takes effect October 1, 2025
