Maryland Department of Health must collect and compile annual data on costs of delivery, pregnancy care, postpartum care, and abortion services statewide

Data collection covers standard delivery costs, complications, neonatal care, prenatal visits, ultrasounds, genetic testing, postpartum mental health treatment, abortion procedures, and abortion pill reversals

Maryland Medical Assistance Program expenditures for chemical and surgical abortions must be separately tracked, including associated prescription and operative care costs

Licensed hospitals, health care providers, and other entities providing these services must submit data using standardized forms developed by the Department

Annual report due to General Assembly by December 1 each year beginning in 2025, including regional cost comparisons, trend analysis, and cost efficiency recommendations; effective date June 1, 2025
