Authorizes the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to use mechanical or motorized equipment within the Patuxent River Wildland (approximately 1,579 acres in Howard and Montgomery counties) for specific conservation purposes

Permits the Department to retain, maintain, remove, or replace existing trails using mechanical or motorized equipment to preserve ecological features and rare habitats

Allows removal, replacement, or disposal of nonnative species using mechanical or motorized equipment for habitat management

Creates an exception to the general prohibition on motor vehicles and motorized equipment in state wildland areas specifically for the Patuxent River Wildland

Takes effect October 1, 2025
