Establishes the Workgroup on Supporting Transgender and Gender Diverse Students to study ways to support these students in Maryland public schools and make recommendations on statewide statutory and regulatory policies.

Workgroup membership includes 16 members: 2 senators, 2 delegates (with rural/urban balance), representatives from the State Department of Education, school boards association, superintendents' association, school psychologists, teachers' unions, Attorney General's office, a student board member, 2 parents, and 2 executive branch members.

State Department of Education provides staff support; members serve without compensation but receive expense reimbursement under Standard State Travel Regulations.

Workgroup must submit findings and recommendations to the State Department of Education, Governor, and General Assembly by December 1, 2026.

Act takes effect July 1, 2026 and automatically sunsets on June 30, 2027.
