Increases the statute of limitations from 2 years to 3 years for prosecuting misdemeanor violations of the Maryland Public Ethics Law

Extends the same 3-year statute of limitations to criminal malfeasance, misfeasance, or nonfeasance committed by public officers at the state, agency, political subdivision, or bicounty/multicounty agency level

Applies the 3-year limitation period to conspiracy charges related to these public officer misconduct offenses

Takes effect October 1, 2026
