Prohibits committing any crime of violence (as defined in § 14–101) in medical facilities or places of worship in Maryland

"Medical facility" includes health care facilities defined under state law, plus agencies, clinics, or offices operated under local health officers or Maryland Department of Health regulatory authority

"Place of worship" defined as any nonresidential location where more than one person assembles for religious or spiritual observance

Violation is a felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, imposed in addition to any penalty for the underlying crime of violence

Sentences may run consecutive to or concurrent with sentences for the underlying crime; effective date June 1, 2026
