Annual report on the Abortion Care Clinical Training Program must now include recommendations on actions the state can take to ensure sufficient health professionals are available to provide abortion care in Maryland

Maryland Insurance Commissioner required to collect yearly data from insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations on segregated accounts established under the federal Affordable Care Act (§1303(b)(2)(B) and (C)) and 45 C.F.R. § 156.280

Data collection must include receipts, disbursements, ending balances, and interest for these segregated accounts

Commissioner must submit aggregate data report to the Senate Finance Committee and House Health Committee by January 1 each year, using data from 2 calendar years prior

Effective date: July 1, 2026
