Apprenticeship programs used in state procurement contracts must have a completion rate of at least 25%, as determined by the Maryland Department of Labor

The requirement applies to registered apprenticeship programs under covered procurements, public work contracts, apprenticeship training programs, and covered contracts involving state funds

Programs must still meet existing requirements of being registered with and approved by the Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning, the Apprenticeship and Training Council, or the U.S. Department of Labor

The bill amends multiple sections of the State Finance and Procurement Article, including provisions governing public work contracts and state apprenticeship training fund contributions
