Local school superintendents or their designees would be authorized to access the juvenile sex offender registry, which is currently accessible only to law enforcement personnel

Expands qualifying offenses for inclusion in the juvenile sex offender registry to add sexual offenses in the third and fourth degree (§ 3-307, § 3-308, § 3-309, § 3-310), sexual abuse of a minor (§ 3-602), human trafficking of a minor (§ 3-902), and child pornography production/distribution without victim consent (§ 11-207)

Removes the previous requirement that the juvenile be at least 14 years old at the time of the delinquent act to be placed on the registry

Extends registry duration so juvenile registrants remain on the registry until the juvenile court's jurisdiction terminates or the registrant reaches age 18, whichever occurs later

Effective date: October 1, 2026
