Counties may designate areas adjacent to farmers markets as street food vending zones

"Vendor" is defined as an individual operating a mobile food service facility or a cottage food business

Vendors selling prepared food (not raw agricultural products) in these zones must reside within a geographic area set by the farmers market's rules or bylaws

Vendors must comply with applicable food service laws and meet the farmers market's membership criteria and operating rules

Effective date: October 1, 2026
