Mobile food service facilities and semipermanent food service facilities in Washington County are exempted from the state requirement to provide toilet and lavatory facilities for the public

Mobile food service facilities are defined as mechanically, electrically, manually, or otherwise propelled vehicles operating on land or water (food trucks, food carts, etc.)

Semipermanent food service facilities are transportable units built offsite, requiring no building permit to install, with no indoor patron seating, serving only foods cooked for immediate service

The exemption applies only to Washington County; all other Maryland counties remain subject to existing toilet and lavatory requirements for food service facilities
