Department of Housing and Community Development must study housing availability and affordability in Montgomery County, including analysis of available housing by unit type, development prospects, and impact of regulations and market forces on housing supply

Interim findings and recommendations due November 30, 2026 and November 30, 2027, with a final report due November 30, 2028

Reports must be submitted to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Montgomery County Planning Department, Montgomery County Executive, Montgomery County Council, and Montgomery County Delegation to the General Assembly

Takes effect July 1, 2026 and automatically expires June 30, 2029 without further legislative action
