Allows naloxone and other opioid overdose reversal drugs to be possessed, stored, and administered for up to 1 year past the printed expiration date

Applies to public schools, institutions of higher education, public buildings with AEDs, community services programs, correctional facilities, and the Division of Parole and Probation

Expands the legal definition of "naloxone" and "opioid overdose reversal drug" across multiple Maryland statutes to include medications expired for less than 1 year

Maintains existing requirements for these entities to stock naloxone while reducing waste from discarding still-effective medications

Takes effect October 1, 2026
