Establishes gold and silver as legal tender in Maryland, including U.S. or foreign government-issued coins and bars/physical forms certified as at least 99% pure

Authorizes use of specie for payment of private debts (if both parties agree) and taxes, fees, or other government obligations (if the state or political subdivision agrees to accept)

No person may be required to accept specie as payment

Commissioner may adopt regulations and must submit annual reports to the Governor and General Assembly starting October 1, 2027 on the economic impact of recognizing specie as legal tender
