Department of Information Technology must procure a third-party entity to conduct an independent study on IT and cybersecurity professional compensation at State agencies compared to federal, local, and private sector positions

Study must evaluate the impact of salary adjustments and other compensation benefits or incentives currently offered by the State for IT and cybersecurity professionals

Study must include recommendations for improving recruitment and retention of the State's technology and cybersecurity workforce

Department must submit the completed study to the Governor and General Assembly by November 1, 2027

Act takes effect July 1, 2026 and automatically sunsets on June 30, 2028 (2-year duration)
