Federal Department of Veterans Affairs facilities are exempt from these requirements

The Maryland Department of Health may adopt regulations to change the notice content if it finds significant differences between the required notice and current medical evidence on breast arterial calcification

The bill takes effect October 1, 2026, and explicitly does not create a standard of care, obligation, or duty that provides a basis for a cause of action
